Lizzie Alsop

Lizzie Alsop is an abstract artist working from her home studio in Somers, on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Surrounded by the raw beauty of the coastline, her work is deeply inspired by the natural rhythms of the landscape - the shifting skies, coastal textures, and quiet details of daily life by the sea.

A lifelong creative, Lizzie has always felt the pull toward making. After moving to the coast over sixteen years ago, she began exploring painting more seriously, eventually establishing herself as a visual artist with a unique and recognisable style. Her pieces are layered, emotive, and deeply intuitive, often sparked by a single moment, memory, or detail from the environment around her.

Working primarily in bold, abstract forms, Lizzie uses a variety of mediums to explore colour, movement, and emotion. Her paintings are a reflection of what she’s feeling as much as what she’s seeing.
