How lucky we are to be born female. The innate goodness of the inner workings of a friendship circle, from school, work, sport, kindy wherever you met. We gather those around, in need, or just purely in fun, often. And not only make things (cakes, meals, cups of tea) but just make life better in large groups talking, laughing, organising. And guess where the biggest bunch of all started? Exactly 100 yearrs ago! In 1922 the The Country Women's Association (CWA) was founded. The largest rural advocacy group in Australia, passionate for country women & their families, working tirelessly to ensure robust representation to all levels of government on issues that impact their communities. The simpler things in life are always the best proven time and time again. And havent we all learnt that the last couple of years. Fresh air, laughs with friends, staying home, home grown, home cooked. And so we salute the CWA in a crisp white ruffled poplin shirt, with the finest arrangement of novelty enamel vegetable buttons to ensure best in show, always. And a fine talking point amongst the best in the business.
